THE END

Well. Everything sure did happen. But somehow, someway, the crew was able to avoid a total failure, even if it involved some questionable methods. Those methods might come back to haunt you some time down the line, but for now? For now, you're welcomed into the colony—but you might not want to stay here too long. The ship logs won't hold up to detailed scrutiny, and there is one alien among you. You could of course, try to take matters into your own hands but there are eyes all around you now, and who knows what the justice system in this world is like.
But you're free to go, back to your own world via a replica of the very same machine that brought you here by accident, at least if you're still alive. If you're dead? Well you're stuck with your illustrious captain, cause he's bailing as soon as he's able to stand on two feet. You'll be joining him back on a trip to his home world, bereft with it's own set of problems but at least you'll be getting a new body shortly after you arrive. It's not the good ending you wanted, but at least it's something.
And as for the intruder among you...the colony might have to deal with an alien invasion sometime in the very near future, and it's world hopping technology might be falling into aliens hands but. Hey, at least the De'dri hive likely has other priorities to cross off it's list before invading other worlds.
(OOC: Thank you for playing in Convive! It's been a wild three weeks. Feel free to thread out any epilogue threads before your character decides to run for the hills, though they are free to stay and help the colony with the alien invasion if you want. )

In other words, awkward and standoffish in death as in life, it seems. Awesome.]

But since it's going to be awhile before we can manage that, he's going to find a spare moment to find Garista and talk to him while everyone is distracted.]
Garista, do you have a moment?
[...There's no way you don't remember him, but better be safe than sorry.......]
no subject
...Of course.
[Hi, Rossiu, this is awkward and so is he but - ]
I was wondering if you were going to come out of that in one piece.
no subject
As was I. They were getting too close.
[Which is exactly why Garista felt the need to be the biggest asshole in the room in poor Avery's direction.]
...Thank you for your assistance back there.
[Thankfully this time he's not doing anything with his face??]

I... Yes, of course. The success of the mission was imperative; I wasn't going to jeopardize that.
Besides, it's what we agreed should happen in that sort of situation.

Do you know what will happen to you now?
no subject
[Because Higgs is an asshole! And not because Garista stabbed the guy multiple times.]
no subject
I doubt he would be. I suppose you could pretend to be in a situation like Data, but I don't know if that would change anything for him.
[Higgs seems like enough of a spiteful asshole to never let it go regardless of the circumstances...]
no subject
...Does it bother you?
[The...all of this.]
no subject
Of course it does. But there's no sense in regretting any of it. I did what I thought was necessary.
[It really does look like it wasn't and that there could have been another way forward, but he doesn't have time to regret his actions right now.]
no subject
We succeeded in what we were trying to do. There's no point in regretting that now.

[........i mean you didn't have to bash poor misaki in the face so much or wield a meat tenderizer on poor atra's head, and callie didn't need to be stabbed eighteen times........]
Thank you for your assistance. I doubt we'll see each other again, but I won't forget you.

it's fine, probably
That said, he doesn't seem to know what to do with that? He's quiet for a moment before he settles on something to do with himself, even if it's a little awkward.]
That seems like a waste of a sentiment, offering me something like that. I'm sure even you don't think I deserve that.
But it is kind of you. I appreciate the gesture.

[If Garista hadn't gone off when he did, they likely would have pinned him as the last alien, and he didn't have a hope of persuading them otherwise at this point.]
That's enough for me to offer it. Thank you, Garista.

Don't worry too much about me. I'll be fine, regardless of what Higgs ends up doing.

[dealing with higgs sounds awful, tbh!!]
